This page has resources and supports for mental and spiritual wellness that are currently available in Waterloo Region. The resources below have been adapted to be virtual or phone-based in order to allow for social distancing so that they are accessible while following physical distancing guidelines.

Maintaining Mental Wellness During COVID-19

The Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council (WRSPC) recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic is a time of unprecedented changes that can cause a lot of stress and anxiety. With the community’s wellness in mind, WRSPC has created a webpage that houses a list of locally developed information and tip sheets, as well as a list of local, provincial, and national support services that can be accessed virtually during this time.


The Friendly Voice is a phone-based general wellbeing check-in to enhance social connections and reduce loneliness in our community.

To register for the Friendly Voice program, please call 519-743-6333 and ask reception how to get started! Reception hours are 8:30am-6pm, but Friendly Voice hours may vary.

The current COVID-19 situation can have an impact on your mental health. Practicing physical distancing makes it even more important that we make an extra effort to remain emotionally connected.  Bell Let’s Talk has complied some mental health resources for coping with challenges of the pandemic.


Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centres navigation line is a a 24/7 nurse-staffed telephone navigation line to assist service providers and victims/survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence during COVID-19.
